CR2 offers new internet banking experience for CIB customers

Global banking software company, CR2, has successfully upgraded the Internet Banking platform of Egypt’s largest private sector bank, Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB).

With deployments in over 100 banks in 60 countries, CR2 is at the forefront of digital banking, delivering new experiences in Mobile, Internet and ATM. This latest upgrade delivers an improved and more efficient online customer journey for CIB’s banking customers.

Alongside a responsive interface design, and superior navigational and usability elements, new features include:

  • an activity calendar to organise payments;
  • Personal Finance Management charts with labelling capabilities;
  • alerts and notifications to organise and track transactions;
  • quick payments to allow customers store commonly-used transfers; and
  • request history to follow-up on inquiries with the bank.

According to Hootsuite and We are Social’s Digital in 2018 report, internet users in Egypt grew by 41% in the past 12 months. This trend is the most significant reason why banks are investing in increasing customer engagement in the online environment.
